Quick Low-Cost Tips to Update Your Kitchen and Bathroom

If your house is 20 years old or just a year old, Kitchens and Bathrooms are great places to freshen-up your design. Not ready to take on a total room remodel? Thankfully there are some simple, inexpensive ways to update your Kitchen or Bath you can most likely do yourself.

Cabinet Knobs and Pulls

The quickest and easiest way to start, is changing out the cabinet hardware. Replacing the old, out-dated knobs and pulls on your cabinet doors can totally transform the feel of your kitchen or bath.

If you already have knobs and pulls on your cabinets, they’re simple to replace. A screwdriver will get the job done in most cases. Just remove the screw from behind the door or drawer front and the knob will come right off.

You can just re-use the screws that came out of the old hardware. Screw on the new hardware and your done – with no mess! Be sure to make note of measurement on the distance between the two screws for pulls. Traditionally knobs only have one screw hole. If you’re not sure what size to get, just bring your old hardware to us and we’ll be sure you get it right the first time.

Goodbye to Builder-Grade

Upgrading towel bars, towel rings, and paper holders from plain or worn out pieces will put the finishing touch on your quick makeover.

Since there are only a few of these pieces per bath room, this option is very affordable. Throw in some new towels and you’ll be impressed at how this will change the design of a drab bathroom.
